Inside Horizontal: Kevin Erickson

For this week’s Inside Horizontal series we head over to the Talent side of our agency. Meet Kevin Erickson, Regional Vice President. What is a typical day at Horizontal for you? 

Currently, a typical day includes building infrastructure and go-to-market strategies for our new locations in the U.S. 

What industries have you focused on? 

In my career I’ve worked in the staffing and recruiting industry with a focus on healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and non-profit to name a few. Prior to joining Horizontal, I spent 14 years with one of the largest national staffing firms holding various sr. leadership roles. 

 Why are you excited to join Horizontal?

I’m excited to join HI because of the amazing culture they’ve built over the years!

What is something you’ve learned in your first days at Horizontal? 

In my initial days at Horizontal, I’ve learned how to use some new tools and technology that allow us to provide a great experience to our clients and candidates and enable our staffing teams to be highly efficient!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my wife and 3 children, be on a lake fishing or boating and cheering on all my favorite MN sports teams!

 If you won a million dollars, what non-profit would you donate towards and why?

I’d give half to Habitat for Humanity and the other half to Pheasants Forever because both organizations do amazing work in their respected fields!

What advice would you give your 20 year old self?

Excellent relationships in and out of the workplace are very important, and to take some professional risks early in your career.
